Jara “Narayan” de Werd is a producer and songwriter from Amsterdam whose deep-rooted passion lies in creating irresistible melodies that linger in your mind. He specializes in dynamic pop songs with a distinctive character in every track, moving between pop, K-pop and electronic music, writing and producing for artists as well as running topline sessions.
Recent years took him from writing camps in Seoul and Los Angeles to cuts with Weeekly, Tritonal, Mike Perry and Justin Jesso, and Japanese group ROIROM, whose album landed at number 3 on the Billboard Japan weekly album chart. Together with Daimy Lotus he wrote and produced “Hunt You Nonstop (I’m On Top Now)” with Neckwav, the K-pop anthem for Supercell’s game mo.co. Back home his pen shows up on Dutch releases for Danique and Nick Schilder.
In the room he is known for getting the very best out of every lyric and melody while keeping the session a safe space where artists and writers can truly express themselves.
