Barcelona-based songwriter and producer Brad Mair grew up in the south of England, where he made his first mark working with Grammy winning producer Kipper (Sting, Mary J Blige, Stevie Wonder) before going solo. Since then he has written and produced for Kygo, Martin Garrix, ILLENIUM, Lost Frequencies, Dean Lewis, Isak Danielson, Elderbrook and St. Lundi.
“Need You Now” by Dean Lewis went Gold in Australia and, like Isak Danielson’s “Broken”, has racked up more than 200 million streams. On Kygo’s Platinum album Golden Hour he wrote “To Die For”, the kind of crossover between singer-songwriters and electronic music he loves most, a lane he kept working with “Take Me Back” for ILLENIUM and Dean Lewis and Martin Garrix’s “Ain’t Letting You Down”.
His catalog has passed 750 million streams, and he releases his own music as SMBDY and Nova Tropics.
